The first vintage of this wine debuted in the early 2000s, with Philippe Melka at the helm from the very beginning. A blend of sourced fruit from both valley floor and hillside vineyards, it was aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak. In 2022, this is a bright, crisp, and lively red, with Bing cherry, cassis, and brown spices leading the way. Medium- to full-bodied, it builds richness on the palate, complemented by cola spice, sandalwood, and warming spice notes on the finish. With fruit sourced from high-pedigree sites, the wine is expertly crafted and well-balanced in this vintage.

Moone-Tsai's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of fruit from Saint Helena, Yountville, Coombsville and Rutherford that saw 70% new French oak. Featuring plummy, black cherry notes, it's medium to full-bodied and velvety on the palate. It's not hugely concentrated, but rather, it's easy to drink yet has enough structure to see it through 2035 or so.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a heady, boisterous wine. It offers up copious dark red fruit intermingled with scents of mocha, new leather, licorice, incense and chocolate. Vineyard sources are in Oakville, Rutherford and Soda Canyon. Dollops of Petit Verdot round out the blend.
