Brooding aromas of blackberry, licorice and minerals. Big, sweet, rich and expansive, with superripe, smoky flavors. A large-scaled wine that finishes with substantial sweet tannins. Consistent with the character of the 2003 vintage, this is much more accessible and easygoing today than the 2002 version. 92 points
