Wine Spectator 95 points (Jun 15 2009) Shows rich dark chocolate, mocha and espresso, along with a wealth of ripe, currant-laced Cabernet fruit. Focused, tight, elegant and stylish, with a persistent finish that keeps unfolding to reveal hidden nuances. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2010 through 2017. 1,750 cases made. JL Robert Parker 96 points (Dec 2009) The 2006 Continuum is composed of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 16% Petit Verdot. Its opaque purple color is followed by a rich, sumptuous bouquet of blackberries, creme de cassis, incense, graphite, and a hint of burning embers. This powerful, full-bodied, rich wine possesses considerable precision as well as purity. Both vintages will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring, and both should age beautifully for 25-30+ years. |
| Wine maker notes |
| The 2006 Continuum is a beautifully luminous, vibrant and persistent wine. Superbly balanced, the ’06 exhibits textbook ripeness with a long, velevety finish. Aromas of blackberry, rose petal, leather and Indian spices precede licorice, cocoa butter and graphite flavors. |
